年轻的艺术爱好者们正致力于振兴并现代化中国传统艺术形式，他们巧妙地将创新元素融入传统之中，旨在吸引新一代观众的目光。

It is 2024 now. 29-year-old Zhang Yang is from Beijing. Whenever there is traditional Chinese opera on TV, she can’t help but stop and watch.

现在是2024年。29岁的张洋（音译）来自北京。每当电视上有中国传统戏曲时，她都忍不住停下来看。

Recently, Zhang especially like Yueju Opera from East China’s Zhejiang province. Last year, performances of New Dragon Gate Inn by young Yueju actors Chen Lijun and Li Yunxiao became popular online. A lot of audiences fell in love with Yueju, including Zhang.

最近，张特别喜欢来自中国东部浙江省的越剧。去年，年轻的越剧演员陈丽君和李云霄的《新龙门客栈》在网上大受欢迎。很多观众都爱上了越剧，包括张。

Zhang strongly agrees with Chen that Yueju needs both preservation and promotion and that it’s important to “make classics popular”. Zhang thinks it is why Yueju Opera becomes popular among the public, especially among young people.

张非常赞同陈的观点，即越剧需要保护和推广，“让经典流行起来”很重要。张认为这就是为什么越剧在公众中流行，尤其是在年轻人中。

Zhang always has Yueju playing on a small speaker, whether she is eating or resting. At home, she sings it all the time. She has joined a free, amateur Yueju Opera club in Beijing. Most members are in their 20s. Many have their own jobs and join the club only for their love for the art. They gather every weekend to practice together.

无论是吃饭还是休息，张总是用小音箱演奏越剧。在家里，她一直在唱。她加入了北京一个免费的业余越剧俱乐部。大多数成员都是20多岁。许多人有自己的工作，加入俱乐部只是因为他们对艺术的热爱。他们每个周末都会聚在一起练习。

Zhang dreams to become a skilled amateur Yueju singer. “If one day I could truly make a name for myself in this field and meet the actors I admire on stage, connecting through our art, that would be my greatest happiness,” she said.

张梦想成为一名技艺精湛的业余越剧歌手。她说：“如果有一天我能在这个领域真正出名，并在舞台上遇到我钦佩的演员，通过我们的艺术建立联系，那将是我最大的幸福。”。
