Recently, a Chinese female barber was popular on the Internet. What’s so special about this barber? She really understands what customers want and always gives them the haircut they ask for. Many people call her “a barber who actually listens”.

最近，一位女性理发师在网上走红。这个理发师有什么特别之处？她真的很了解顾客想要什么，而且总是按他们要求的发型给他们理发。许多人称她为“听得懂话的理发师”。

This female barber is Xiao Hua. She is 33 years old. She runs a barbershop called “Liangdian” with her husband in Huaihua City, central China’s Hunan province. They began to operate the barbershop 11 years ago. The shop is about 20 to 30 square meters in size.

这位女理发师是晓华。她今年33岁。她和丈夫在中国中部湖南省怀化市经营着一家名为“靓点”的理发店。他们11年前开始经营这家理发店。这家店的面积约为20至30平方米。

In February of 2024, Xiao Hua shared her first haircut video on social media. She did it to attract more customers. Over the next eight months, she posted 398 more videos. By October, her videos started to gain widespread attention online. Xiao Hua also livestreams when she is cutting hair. Many viewers are barbers who want to learn some skills from her.

Since Xiao Hua became famous, her barbershop has been very bustling. Some customers come from far away, even from other cities and other countries. Many of them have to wait up to 8 hours just to get their hair cut by her. Other barbers also visit in person to learn how to cut hair well and improve their skills.

Even though she is famous now, Xiao Hua still keeps her prices low — just 30 yuan for men and 45 yuan for women. Because of limited time and energy, she can only serve about 30 customers each day. It’s tiring, but she says she is happy with her job.
